India has permitted Pakistan Prime Minister, Imran Khan's aircraft to use the Indian air space for his travel to Sri Lanka. Imran Khan will be travelling to Sri Lanka today and this would be his maiden visit, news agency ANI reported.
In 2019, Pakistan had denied opening its air space for Prime Minister, Narendra Modi's travel to US and Saudi Arabia, while citing violations of human rights in Kashmir.
In another development, Sri Lanka cancelled a scheduled speech of Pakistan's prime minister, Imran Khan in parliament. This is being seen as a move to avoid confrontation with New Delhi.
