The Colombo High Court today served indictment papers against former Western Province Governor Azath Salley who is currently detained by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) under the Prevention of Terrorism (PTA) act.
Mr Salley, who suffered a cardiac arrest recently appeared in a wheelchair before High Court Judge Amal Ranaraja today.
He was arrested by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) in March this year over a controversial statement made at a press conference.
