A mango was auctioned for Rs 162,000 at an auction in Ukkulankulam, Vauniya, during a Hindu festival.
The mango that was bid on was purchased by a woman named Chandran Sinduja from the Ukkulankulam area in Vauniya.
It was reported that she purchased the bid for renovation purposes for the Kovil.
In the previous years, mangoes were auctioned for over Rs. 100,000.
