Security forces recovered a consignment of ammunition and explosives in Tharamkerni Palai today following a tip-off of buried in an unused well.
The unserviceable explosives and ammunitions found in the stash are Rocket Propelled Grenade (RPG) bombs-48 parts of unidentified bombs, ten of 81 mm mortar bombs and eleven hand grenades.
Security authorities are carrying out further investigations over the incident after Kilinochchi Magistrate Court was informed of the hidden armory. (Pix by N. Lohathayalan)
