Estate workers are continuing their protest campaigns in the upcountry demanding that justice prevails in the case of the 16-year-old girl's death who worked as a domestic aide at the residence of MP Rishad Bathiudeen.
Another protest was staged on Wednesday (28) by workers of Greatweston Kalkandawatta in Thalawakele demanding that all the culprits should be found soon and punished.
"The truth must be found in connection with the death of the girl from Dayagama", protesters chanted slogans and carried banners calling for the law to be enforced and for all those directly and indirectly involved to be punished.
Protesters also said that children from upcountry estates should not be hired and that their right to education should be protected.
