President instructs to revise Land Act
The President has instructed officials to revise the existing ordinances with regard to lands to fit the current development needs.
President Wickremesinghe issued these instructions during a discussion held at the Presidential Secretariat on Wednesday evening (May 10) on amending the provisions of the ordinances of land management institutions and introducing new regulations.
In the course of the meeting, he also made the respective officials aware of appointing a suitable committee to hasten the functions.
