Rains predicted in several areas
Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places in Western, Sabaragamuwa, Southern and North-Western provinces and in Kandy and Nuwara-Eliya districts during the afternoon or night today, the Meteorological Department said.
Several spells of showers will occur in Eastern and Uva provinces and in Polonnaruwa and Matale districts, the Department said.
Fairly heavy showers above 50mm are likely at some places in Western, Sabaragamuwa and Southern provinces and in Ampara district.
