Showers or thundershowers are most likely to be experienced in parts of Western, Sabaragamuwa, Uva, North-central, North-western provinces and in Kandy, Nuwara-Eliya, Mannar, Galle and Matara districts during the day and night, says the Department of Meteorology.
Moderately heavy showers above 50mm would crop up at some parts of the island. A few showers are likely to occur in the Eastern province.
The sea areas of the coast extending from Kankesanthurai to Galle via Mannar, Puttalam and Colombo are presumably to expect showers or thundershowers at night.
