Mr. S.C. Muthukumarana, a member of the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP), was sworn in as a member of Parliament today (Mar. 5) before Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena.
Mr. Muthukumarana was appointed following the resignation of Uddika Premarathne the SLPP MP of Anuradhapura District.
Customs have detected 228 mobile phones and tabs valued at over Rs 30 million left behind in the duty free shopping complex at the Banaranaike International Airport today, Customs officials said.
