The Cabinet nod has been granted to further streamline the visa procedures presently implemented by the Department of Immigration and Emigration following a proposal tabled by the Minister of Public Security Tiran Alles.
The Department of Immigration and Emigration grants three categories of VISA visit visa, resident visa and transit visa in particular as per the Immigration and Emigration Act No. 20 of 1948.
Measures have been adopted to analyze the country’s general visa process in effect, in light of the twists in the issuance of visas subjected to the visit visa and resident visa acceptance categories by reviewing the visa processes carried out particularly in the countries that intrigue more foreign inflows.
