Trade unions allied with five professions supplementary to health service have reached a decision to launch a 24-hour token strike tomorrow (August 24) from 8.00 a.m. until 8.00 a.m. on Friday (August 25).
Government Radiological Technologists Association's Chairman Chanaka Dharmawickrama said trade unions of radio technologists, medical laboratory scientists. pharmacists, physiotherapists, and occupational therapists would strike tomorrow (23) to reach seven demands.
Mr. Dharmawickrama said that disruptions would occur concerning medical scans including X-rays, CT scans and MRI scans and other laboratory services along with dispersion of medicines due to the token strike.
