Three persons returning from a musical show were killed in a road accident in Rambewa area of the Anuradhapura district in the early hours of today, Police said.
A cab travelling had knocked them down while they were walking on the side of the road.
Two others were injured in the incident.
The cab driver had driven away following the accident.
The final rites of veteran broadcaster, writer, and lyricist Nirmala de Alwis will be held today at Peradeniya.
