Western, Sabaragamuwa, Uva and North-central provinces and in Kandy, Nuwara-Eliya, Galle, Matara and Mannar districts are most likely to experience rains or thundershowers during the day or night, the Department of Meteorology says.
In the meantime, showers or thundershowers would equally crop up in the sea areas off the coast extending from Mannar to Matara via Puttalam, Colombo and Galle at night.
Winds will be either north-easterly or inconstant in direction and may strike at 20-30 KMPH.
The maritime zones around the island will remain moderate.
