Twelve injured as bus falls into precipice in Ratnapura
Twelve persons including those on their way back from Sri Pada were injured when a SLTB bus ran off the road on the Palabaddala – Ratnapura road, today afternoon, Police said.
The bus had been deployed as a special bus service for those visiting Sri Pada.
More than 50 passengers were in the bus at the time of the incident.
The bus had toppled about 30ft down the precipice at a location known as Induruwa.
The injured were rushed to the Gilimale hospital.
