Three United National Party (UNP) members of the Lunugamvehara Pradeshiya Sabhawa have been expelled from the party for organizing a meeting of Samagi Jana Balawegaya Leader Sajith Premadasa in the area.
General Secretary of UNP Range Bandara in a letter to the chairman of Lunugamvehera Pradeshiya Saba, T.M.Rasika Dinesh that three UNP members of its opposition Including the opposition leader, H.H.Saman Pushpakumara, Nimal Batagoda, and H.P.Upul Laksiri have been expelled from the party.
the party has taken this decision after an disciplinary action alleging them that they have breached the party legislation.
The main allegation for them is the organising meetings of the leader of the Leader of Opposition Sajith Premadasa and participating in those meetings.
Lunugamvehera Pradeshiya Sabawa is under the power of Sri Lanka Podhu Jana Peramuna. It's opposition consists of six UNP members and one JVP member.
