Wildlife Minister Mahinda Amaraweera resigns
The Minister of Wildlife conservation, Mahinda Amaraweera had tendered his letter of resignation from his ministry.
The ministry sources said that the minister had resigned as the minister had been in charge of two ministries as it was difficult to handle two ministries at the same time.

SLAF Bell 212 crashes into Maduru Oya
A Sri Lanka Air Force Bell 212 helicopter belonging to the No. 72 squadron has crashed into the Madhuru Oya reservoir this morning, Air FOrce Media Spokesman Eranda Geeganage said.
