Young Sri Lankan filmmaker Hasantha Dissanayake, whose short film "Mutton" was chosen for the final jury selection at the 7th Sakarya International Short Film Festival in Turkey arrived in the island this morning.
Student filmmakers from 193 countries had submitted more than 7000 entries to this international short film festival.
Mr Dissanayake's 12 minute short film "Mutton" has also been selected for the final rounds of film festivals in Iran and South Korea.
A resident of Galle, Mr Dissanayake holds an honours degree in Film and Television Studies from the University of Kelaniya.
