Two new Himalayan Brown Bears, two spotted Hyenas, and three pairs of Meerkats are scheduled to be arrivevia flight to Bandaranaike airport to tomorrow (Monday )early morning.
The Director General of the Zoo, Dr R Chandana Rajapaksa told the times online that the flight is schedule to arrive at 5.00 am in the morning. "We will be at the airport to receive the animals which arrive from Capital Zoo of United Arab Emirates under animal exchange program." He said.
After retrieval the two Bears and slender tailed MeerKats would be brought to Dehiwala zoo while the two pair of spotted hyenas would be send to the Ridyagama Safari Park at Hambantota.
All the new animals would be subject a month long quarantine period.The animals would be displayed for the public after completion of quarantine period.
