The body of a police constable attached to the Kadawatha Police Station, who had been reported missing, was found this morning in Bulogoda, Pannala this morning (21). Police said the victim had been murdered.
The constable, who had been serving as a police driver, was reported abducted by unidentified persons on February 17. The Kelaniya Crime Investigation Division then launched an investigation into the incident.
Officers from the unit recovered the body of the constable in the Pannala area this morning.
Police said one suspect has been arrested over the incident and is due to be produced before the Pannala Magistrate's Court.
