The Colombo High Court today granted bail for six military intelligence officials who have been under remand custody over abduction and assault of journalsit Keith Noyhar. Three of them were arrested in February this year.
Mr Noyar who currently lives in abroad was abducted by unidentifed group in 2008 and assaulted badly during previous regime.At the time of the incident he was the Deputy Editor of ‘The Nation’ newspaper.
Meanwhile after eight years since his abduction and brutual torture, Journalist Poddala Jayantha today lodged complaint to Criminal Investigation Department (CID) over the incident.
