The University Grants Commission (UGC) is to support crisis inspiring innovative ideas of university students by supporting them with financial resources to tackle the severa needs arising due to coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, a statement from the national university regulatory body said.
"Vice-Chancellors of the universities and Directors of the Institutes are requested to take necessary actions to support the inspiring innovations of our students. UGC would like to assist you through the limited financial resources to finance the needs of the students' proposals recommended by the universities," the statement said.
Accordingly, university staff are requested to develop a mechanism to provide needs of the students engaged in innovative activities and the proposed projects should be supervised by the members of the academic staff.
