Business owners from across the country converged on Dambulla town on Sunday (12) to hold a protest claiming that both state and private banks as well as finance companies have crippled their businesses.
The business owners from all over the country first converged on Dambulla town and first held a conference at a hotel there before moving to the town centre to hold a protest.
The protesters claimed that the banks and finance companies of conspiring to work against the economic policies of the government and destroy their businesses
Shops and other business establishments in the town were also closed in support of the protest.
