The Commercial Bank has advised its customers to refrain from providing confidential information such as User IDs, Card details, PINs and OTPs (one time Passwords sent via SMS) to any third party.
"Commercial Bank WILL NOT request such confidential information at any time from our customers," it said in a message to customers.
This came on the back of certain Commercial Bank customers receiving a message requesting for these details in exchange of transferring Rs. 5, 000 to their accounts to get through the 'difficult' times during the lockdown. This message by cyber criminals came via SMS and WhatsApp. (DEC)
