The Terrorist Investigation Department (TID) yesterday (May 28) informed court that it would be handling the investigations regarding the copper factory owned by a Easter Sunday attacker.
The TID informed during a hearing before the Colombo Magistrate's Court, that the investigations were brought under its purview as per the instructions of the Acting IGP.
Meanwhile, Colombo Additional Magistrate Priyantha Liyanage ordered that Karuppaiah Abdullah - an employee at the copper factory, and the 10th suspect in the case, be remanded until June 10.
Previously the Magistrate's Court had instructed nine other employees of the factory to appear before the TID on a daily basis from yesterday until June 01.
