A 50-year-old female from Kolonnawa, a 78-year-old male from Colombo 9 and a 43-year-old female from Bandaragama died from COVID related complications bringing the total death count from the virus to 160, the Government Information Department said.
All three deceased have suffered from organ failure and pneumonia caused by coronavirus.
A total of 611 persons were identified as COVID positive on Wednesday increasing the total from the second wave to 31,070.
