Deputy Minister Premalal Jayasekara has been arrested in connection with a shooting incident which took place at Kahawatta during elections, local media reported. Police Media Spokesperson SSP Ajith Rohana quoted by local media said he was arrested on Saturday morning. An individual was killed in Kahawatta when shots were fired at a group of supporters who were engaged preparations for a political rally.
