While international flights have been suspended at the Ratmalana Airport, domestic flights will continue, Colombo Airport Manager Aruna Rajapaksha stated.
He made the clarification in response to a query on whether the airport will follow the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) in suspending incoming international flights due to the spread of COVID-19 (Coronavirus).
Mr Rajapaksha stated that both domestic flights between Ratmalana and Jaffna as well as training flights being conducted from the Ratmalana Airport will continue as normal.
He however, stated that all passengers were being subjected to temperature checks and that a separate quarantine facility had also been set up at the airport.
