At least four students attached to University of Jaffna injured yesterday during a clash between two factions of university students, Kopay police said.
The injured students are admitted to Jaffna Teaching Hospital. The incident was reported in front of the university entrance yesterday and the police were called by onlookers who witnessed the clash.
An official from the Jaffna University told Times Online that since the incident took place outside of university premises, the administration did not intervene but informed the police immediately. The injured students are from fresh and senior batches of Arts Faculty.
