High scorers at the G C E Advanced Level examinations will be provided an opportunity to pursue their higher education at leading foreign universities from the first quarter of 2020.
Talks in this regard would be held with the Foreign Affairs Ministry next month, Higher Education Ministry Secretary, Priyantha Mayadunne said.
He noted that the Foreign Affairs Ministry is expected to co-ordinate with foreign universities and assist in the implementation of this initiative.
