The All Island Service Executive Officers’ Joint Committee has stressed that if the salaries and allowance issues of state executive officers is not resolved within two weeks that they would launch trade union action.
Due to salary increases in 2018 in the legal field, thousands of persons in the Executive Services have faced massive salary discrepancies said the Secretary of the Association, H.A.L. Udayasiri.
At a media briefing it was revealed that the President had appointed a committee in September last year to resolve these issues and said the committee report has now been handed over to the President as well.
However, he said that the issues have yet to be resolved according to the report of the committee or recommendations made by the committee.
