The Health and Physical Education subject would be made mandatory for G.C.E. Ordinary Level students from 2022, Health Minister (Dr.) Rajitha Senaratne said.
He made this remark in response to a question posed by a journalist during a press conference yesterday (Mar 17).
Minister Senaratne noted that the Education Ministry's move to make this subject mandatory would provide students an understanding on matters pertaining to physical health.
