The Ministry of Buddha Sasana and Religious Affairs states that historical and archaeological sites will be closed to the public during the special holidays declared by the Government.
Ministry Secretary Bandula Harishchandra stated that accordingly, local and foreign tourists are advised not to travel to these sites during this time. Tourists guides are also requested to refrain from bringing tour groups to these sites until the holidays are over.
