The Jaffna District court today removed the arrest warrant on former Minister Keheliya Rambukwella after he appeared before the court over the disappearances of Lalith Kumar Weeraraj and Kugan Muruganathan in 2011.
Earlier the courts issued an arrest warrant against the former minister who reportedly told the media at that time that two of them were in the state custody and their location cannot be disclosed.
The magistrate ordered the police to record statements from the former cabinet spokesperson over the media remarks he made following the disappearance. The case will be taken up for hearing on March 6.
