A Japanese company has won a bid worth 307.7 million yen (Rs 518.1 million) to supply meals for SriLankan Airlines flights leaving Japan's Narita Airport for two years.
Gate Government Japan Ltd., will supply meals with effect from November 15, 2019, the Finance Ministry said in a cabinet paper.
The tender had been awarded upon receiving the approval of the cabinet procurement committee.
Flights belonging to SriLankan Airlines - Sri Lanka's national air carrier, make at least 520 trips to Japan's Narita Airport, the cabinet paper read.

A Sri Lanka Air Force Bell 212 helicopter belonging to the No. 72 squadron has crashed into the Madhuru Oya reservoir this morning, Air FOrce Media Spokesman Eranda Geeganage said.
Update: Five of the twelve passengers on board the bell 212 aircraft that crashed into the Maduru Oya today, have succumbed to their injuries, the SLAF said.
