The Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP) submitted a no-confidence motion against the government to the Speaker at 10 am today (May 21).
JVP leader MP Anura Kumara Dissanayake along with other JVP MPs presented the motion to the Speaker at the Parliament.
The no-faith motion seeks the removal of the President, Prime Minister and the Cabinet of Ministers from their respective positions owing to their failure to prevent the Easter Sunday attacks.
