State Minister of Finance Lakshman Yapa Abeywardana has been appointed as the Co-Chairman of the Matara District Development Committee. He received his appointment letter from the President Maithripala Sirisena at the Presidential Secetariat, yesterday.
The final rites of veteran broadcaster, writer, and lyricist Nirmala de Alwis will be held today at Peradeniya.
