Mayura Place joins the new list of isolated areas

Mayura Place in Wellawatte police division has been declared as an isolated area from 5 a.m. today (14), the National Operations Centre for Prevention of the Spread of COVID-19 announced.

Other newly declared isolated areas are Naiduwa and Duwe Watta in Wattala police division, Rohana Vihara Mawatha in Peliyagoda police division, Welikanda in Kiribathgoda police division, Warana temple road, Kathtoda road, Hidra Mawatha, Thihariya North and Thihariya East in Nittambuwa police divisions.

In Kalutara district, Wegangalle east and Wengangalla west grama sevaka divisions in Bulathsinhala divisional secretariat division and Marikkar street in Kuda Heenitiyangala grama sevaka divisions have been designated as newly isolated areas.

Meanwhile isolation status in several areas in Colombo and Gampaha district will continue until further notice.

Modera, Kotahena, Maradana, Dam Street, Grandpass, Bloemendhal, Wolfendhal Street, Maligawatte, Keselwatte and Dematagoda police areas and Wekanda grama niladhari division (Slave Island police division), Wanathamulla grama sevaka division (Borella police division), Salamulla grama sevaka division and Laksanda Sewana housing scheme (Wellampitiya police division), South of Ferguson road (Mattakkuliya police division), Hunupitiya grama sevaka division (Slave Island police division), 60-watta (Cinnamon Gardens police division), Kokila road (Wellawatte police division) will continue to be isolated.

In Colombo district, isolation will be lifted in Sirisanda Sewana housing scheme (Grandpass police division), Sirimuthu Uyana housing scheme (Grandpass police division), Lakhiru Sewana railway flats (Maligawatte police division) and Sirisara Uyana flats (Borella police division).

In Gampaha district, isolation status will continue in Peliyagodawatte GN division, Peliyagoda gangabada GN division, Meegahawatte GN division  (Peliyagoda police area), Welegoda North (Kiribathgoda police area), MC housing scheme in Thalduwa (Negombo police area) and Nidahas mawatha (Veyangoda police area).

Meanwhile, Pattiya north GN division in Peliyagoda police division and Kerawalapitiya GN division, Hekitta GN division,  Kurunduhena GN division, Averiwatte GN division and Welikadamulla GN division in Wattala police area will have their isolation status lifted today morning.
