Former President and parliamentarian Mahinda Rajapaksa will appear before the Presidential Commission of Inquiry into serious acts of Fraud, Corruption and Abuse of Powerthis morning over investigations regarding financial discrepancies reported at the Independent Television Network (ITN) during the tenure of the United People’s Freedom Alliance (UPFA) led government. This is the second instance former president Rajapaksa has been summoned before the commission over the loss of Rs 200 million to the state television network during the last presidential election.
