Mr. Siddi Mohamed Farook was appointed as the Chairman of the Sri Lanka Broadcasting Corporation with immediate effect by the Minister of Finance and Media Mangala Samaraweera.
Farook had his primary education at Royal College and has a BAA in International Trade from the Chu Hai College in Hong Kong. An entrepreneur specializing in the field of mobile telecommunications, he served as the Director/CEO of Pan Asian Power PLC from 2009-2017, the government news portal reported.
