New delimitation committee to be appointed
A new 12-member delimitation committee is to be appointed to demarcate divisional secretariats and Grama Niladhari divisions in the country.
The Internal and Home Affairs Ministry, in a cabinet paper, said that the committee would be headed by a retired ministry secretary.
A delimitation committee is appointed every five years to establish new divisional secretariats, gazette the existing ones, establish and revise the list of Grama Niladhari divisions.

SLAF Bell 212 crashes into Maduru Oya
A Sri Lanka Air Force Bell 212 helicopter belonging to the No. 72 squadron has crashed into the Madhuru Oya reservoir this morning, Air FOrce Media Spokesman Eranda Geeganage said.
