New directors have been appointed to the Bank of Ceylon Board after Kanchana Ratwatte was appointed its chairman.
Mr. Ratwatte is a lawyer and former Director General of the Telecommunication Regulatory Authority.
The other directors are P. Lalith P.Withana, current CEO of Sri Lanka Catering; G. Harsha Wijayawardhana, a bio chemist who later became an IT consultant; Hasitha Premaratne, Group Finance Director at Brandix Group; and Visaka Amarasekere, ex officio director representing the Ministry of Finance.
The funeral of arguably the Queen of the Sinhala cinema Malini Fonseka, will be held with state honours on Monday, May 26, 2025, at the Independence Square.
