A no confidence motion against Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe signed by 112 opposition MPs was handed over to the Secretary General of Parliament Dhammika Dasanayaka today. The motion, among others, accuses the Prime Minister for attempting to cover up the Treasury bond issue and also accuses of him of appointing a non-national to the post of Governor of the Central Bank. A parliamentary official said the motion n which was in Sinhala will now be translated into Tamil and English and placed on the Order Book of Parliament. It can be placed on the Order Paper after five days after being included in the Order Book.
