The National Water Supply and Drainage Board (NWSDB) has dismissed rumours of poisoned water being supplied to the Kiribathgoda, Kelaniya, and Ja-Ela areas.
Issuing a special statement, NWSDB Chairman K.A. Ansar noted that the water which is being supplied at present is on par with Sri Lankan regulatory standards.
Further, he noted that water which is used by the public for consumption has always been subjected to quality checks by the NWSDB's Laboratory.
Therefore, the NWSDB Chairman ensured that the public need not to be uncertain or afraid over the quality of water which reaches their households.
