A 44-year old man was killed while one was injured following an accident involving a motorcycle and a bus in Puttalam yesterday.
The deceased has been identified as Susantha Amarasinghe, a father of two and a resident of Kaladiya.
Police say that the accident occurred as the motorcyclist lost control and collided with a bus.
The injured pillion rider is currently receiving treatment at the Puttalam Base Hospital.
Former Speaker and NPP MP Asoka Ranwala was arrested today following a road accident in the Denimulla area of Sapugaskanda last night, police said.
