Over 1000 dengue cases in 2019 so far

A total of 1,111 dengue cases have been reported across the country since the beginning of this year, the government news portal reported.

According to Epidemiology unit sources, 299 cases had been reported from the Colombo distict, the highest figure from any district.

Jaffna came in second with 167 cases while the Gampaha district was ranked third with 113 cases of dengue being reported so far.
