Deputy Speaker Thilanga Sumathipala adjourned the Parliament for ten minutes this afternoon. The Parliament was adjourned due to a tense situation that arose in the parliament when a group of opposition MPs started displaying of banners saying "No Hybrid Courts". According to the Government Information Department t he Leader of House Lakshman Kiriella said that the Prime Minister and the Foreign Affairs Minister are out of the island at present and as such a debate in this regard could be arranged at a latter date. The Parliament recommenced after 10 minutes.
