The final report of the Presidential Commission of Inquiry (PCoI) appointed to probe political victimisation incidents during the previous government was handed over to President Gotabaya Rajapaksa today.
The Commission was appointed by the President soon after he assumed office in January this year after many politicians claimed that they were mistreated and targetted politically by the previous government with court proceedings and politically motivated investigations.
The PCoI was mandated to look into those incidents which occurred from January 8, 2015 to November 16, 2019- during which the Good Governance government held office.
