The National Police Commission (NPC) has halted the transfers of 13 high ranking police officials including two Senior DIG's, the Commission said.
The list of police officials who were slated to be transferred was sent to the NPC by Inspector General of Police IGP Pujith Jayasundara.
The NPC which convened today (Apr 26) had taken this decision after considering a possible disruption to the activities of the Committee which was appointed to probe last Sunday's attacks.
The police officers whose transfers were halted are as follows :
