A KDH van believed to have been used in the abduction of two businessmen in Ratgama was discovered by the Police in Akmeemana last afternoon.
The van which was seized by officers of the Galle Organised Crimes Preventive Division has been handed over to the CID for further investigations.
The CID is currently carrying out investigations into the alleged abduction under the directives of IGP Pujith Jayasundara.
Former President’s Secretary Saman Ekanayake was today remanded until February 11 by the Fort Magistrate in relation to the case where former President Ranil Wickremesinghe is alleged to have misused Rs. 16.6 million in state funds during a visit to the UK to attend his wife’s graduation ceremony at the University of Wolverhampton.
