An Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Sri Lanka Police and the Interpol was signed to facilitate the officers of the Interpol and Lankan Law Enforcing Officers engaged in cross border investigations to obtain emergency visas by accepting the special travel permit issued by the Interpol. Inspector General of Police (IGP) N. K. Illangakoon participated in the Annual International Police Conference which was held in Ruwanda recently. Heads of the police representing many countries participated in this meeting during in which an agreement was signed between IGP, Mr. N. K. Illangakoon and the Secretary General of Interpol Mr. Jurgen Stock at Kigali city of Ruwanda.
